Built in 1967 and refurbished in 2009, St Columba’s House has been welcoming guests to our tranquil site for over fifty years. Just a few minutes from central Woking, St Columba’s offers the convenience of a modern centre close to urban amenities with quick access to London and airports.

The House comprises of ten meeting rooms, 26 en-suite bedrooms, a circular Oratory and a large Chapel. The site has easy access for people with disabilities, with a lift to the first floor and also access to bathrooms and bedrooms for people with disabilities. As well as our Meeting Spaces we have plenty of communal, break out areas for you to enjoy.

Two, spacious, lawned gardens surround St Columba’s House, with plenty of outdoor seating areas and patio spaces. Enjoy our wild flowers, pond and bedding alongside wonderful woodland trees including the spectacular redwoods.

Foyer

Our bright foyer is a welcome area for all guests to use where tea and coffee is provided throughout the day, free of charge. Our friendly staff are available at reception to help you check in, answer your questions and assist with payments.

Shop

Browse the selection of books and indulge in delicious Traidcraft confectionery. Our small shop also sells gifts and cards.

Seating Area

Across from the book shop is a comfortable seating area with armchairs and a sofa which guests can enjoy. Our coffee table and stands are stocked with the latest religious and charitable newspapers and magazines including The Church Times and The Tablet.

Scholastica

Named after St Scholastica, the library is a quiet space to retreat to with comfortable armchairs and a selection of theological and general books. Guests are welcome to use this room when it is not booked for others.

Roof Terrace

On the first floor, in the shade of our iconic, copper Oratory is the Roof Terrace, which overlooks the entrance to St Columba’s House and our collection of ornamental trees. It is a great space to break away and take in the summer air.

Outdoor Spaces

When the weather is favourable, there are plenty of outdoor spaces to break away to. Around the gardens you will find plenty of benches, patios and quiet areas to sit including some woodland and pond  areas.
