‘Recognising the Pearl’ An evening of reflection with Revd Haydon Wilcox

28th September
7pm - 9pm

A reflective evening for those who have discovered something precious in Lockdown and wonder how they might keep what has been good about the times when Covid restrictions brought changes such as fewer social pressures, less travel and more time at home.

Matthew’s Gospel speaks of the fine pearl as being like the kingdom of heaven. A fine pearl is a valuable treasure that needs no polishing or cutting. It comes complete and beautifully created by God through nature, and because of this speaks of a great truth.

In the company of others could we identify that truth and commit to build upon it? The evening will offer the opportunity to share, reflect, to be spiritually fed and to gain encouragement.

The evening will be led by our acting Chaplain, Revd Haydon Wilcox. Numbers will be limited to 16, masks will be worn, seating will be at social distance and rooms will be well ventilated (you may wish to bring a jumper if it isn’t a warm evening). The event will be held in the large Chapel at St. Columba’s House and in the peaceful grounds.
