Deaf Awareness for Everyday Parish Life

A deaf awareness workshop exploring the facts about hearing loss including communication tools available. An opportunity to discuss and try the merits of learning to lip read and BSL including a demonstration of both

The session will close with learning to sign a blessing.

Open to all. Specifically relevant for parishes and youth workers.

About the Leader: Tracey Wade

Currently a Sensory Specialist Worker within Sensory Services, Tracey previously worked as the Sensory Inclusion Adviser for Guildford Diocese. Qualified BSL level 3 communicator, lipreading tutor and a rehabilitation officer for the visually impaired, Tracey has over 30 years experience of communicating with people who have a hearing loss.
