Quiet Day Getting Older Lord

Quiet Day – I’m Getting Older, Lord

The awareness of ‘getting older’ can occur at all ages but for many there comes a time when our mortality is especially apparent. We notice the physical changes occurring in our bodies and yet acknowledge a resistance to change in other aspects of our life. It can be a wonderful opportunity to look back and explore the diversity of ways in which God has touched our lives. Exploring the work of past grace may help us to reflect on whether there is anything more that we can offer in Christian service, and how we might find comfort that there could still be more opportunities to grow in faith and hope. Can the fear that some associate with ‘getting older’ be transformed? Teas, coffees and light lunch included.
