As an artist, Nicola Rose seeks to capture the essence of the weather, natural structures, and water through the use of oil paint. The paintings are a personal response to the extreme forces of nature and a fascination with wild places. Nicola uses oil, acrylic and other mediums to create stunning textural landscapes.

The awareness of ‘getting older’ can occur at all ages but for many there comes a time when our mortality is especially apparent. We notice the physical changes occurring in our bodies and yet acknowledge a resistance to change in other aspects of our life. It can be a wonderful opportunity to look back and explore the diversity of ways in which God has touched our lives. Exploring the work of past grace may help us to reflect on whether there is anything more that we can offer in Christian service, and how we might find comfort that there could still be more opportunities to grow in faith and hope.
