IT facilities delight URC
Saint Columba's House recently hosted a training event for the United Reformed Church Education and Learning Office.
United Reformed Church Ministers utilised Saint Columba's extensive IT facilities, including those in the Chapel and the Oratory, learning about using multimedia in church and worship.
Course organiser Revd Elizabeth Gray-King said.
"It was a delight to discover the new SCH. From the welcoming reception to the exceptional bedrooms, it was a pleasure to find. One of the group leaders arrived the day before in order to set up a whole network to link lap-tops so that participants could learn from each others’ experiments. The venue offered flexibility, connectivity and welcome. Our worship included the use of slides and film as well as drama, music and movement; the space seemed to delight in its own right to be used in such ways."
Director of St Columba's House, Revd. Owen Murphy said. "We're delighted that the URC chose us to hold their training course with us and as well as the IT facilities our hospitality and kitchen added to a successful course for all concerned."
"Beside the functionality for the content part of the training, the venue as place of hospitality was wonderful. Food was fresh, made on site and flavourful. The welcoming chef had no problem with special diets.
We will definitely come back and I have already been recommending SCH to others."
