Experience stillness in a busy world
An Individually Guided Weekend Retreat based on the teachings of St Ignatius of Loyola at St Columba’s House, Woking
Friday 17th- Sunday 19th February 2012
For anyone wishing to withdraw from the busyness of life who is willing to explore alternative approaches to prayer. An opportunity to develop faith through meditation, silence and dialogue using imagination, the senses, music, art and scriptures in the Ignatian tradition.
You are invited to share the welcoming atmosphere of St Columba’s House, to spend time in peace and quiet for spiritual exploration and to listen to God the Creator, maybe for the first time. Others may wish to deepen their individual faith journey and develop a sense of belonging.
There will be periods of silence and accompanied prayer together with homely meals shared in comfort in the spirit of community living.
Participants will be individually led by Pam Thorogood and Linda Scrivener, both spiritual directors in the Guildford Diocese and members of the Pastoral Group at St Columba’s House where they facilitate spritual direction, lead quiet days and retreats.
A detailed programme will be available in the new year.
