Facilities

Bedrooms

Saint Columba’s House offers 22 3-star rated single en-suite (two with disabled facilities) and 5 twin en-suite bedrooms (4 twin bedrooms in our Redwood annexe),all with telephone, internet connection, and freeview availability (not in Redwood). We also have a wheelchair lift service to the first floor.There is a range of fairtrade and other refreshment facilities at points around the houses. 

Off street parking for approximately 26 cars is also available.

We have limited smoking facilities outside reception.

Catering

A range of dietary needs is catered for by our popular chef, Philip Emery, and his team, ranging from buffet lunches to feted multi-course dinners, served with wine if pre-arranged. Our new refectory seats up to 50 diners with spill-over onto a circular patio in warmer weather. Buffet-style catering can be supplied to other meeting rooms. By arrangement our simple honesty bar holds red & white wine, and soft drinks. Breakfast meetings are also catered for by prior arrangement.

The  Place to Meet

Groups from 4 to 40 can meet in a range of eight comfortable meeting rooms. Saint Columba’s chapel can seat 100 in theatre style. Meetings can also be facilitated by our range of presentation resources including a state of the art conference telephone, data projector, laptop, internet supply, and flipcharts.

Receptions

Buffet receptions for up to 50 people can be catered for in our serene surroundings.

Accessibility

Both St Columba’s House and Redwood are accessible for those with special needs and disabilities.

In-house Pastoral Care

It may not surprise you to know that Saint Columba’s House can link you to confidential spiritual resources such as having someone to listen to your problems, have someone pray with you, arrange a formal confession, and pray for healing for you or a loved one. All residents may use Saint Columba's Chapel and Saint Peter's Oratory for their own quiet time, depending on availability.
